Expensive but tastyApr 26, 2010
I used to make homemade granola regularly, but my family likes this granola as much as my homemade, which I can't say for any of the other types we've tried (and we've tried many - most are too sweet for us). I feel ridiculous spending this much money on granola, and I guess someday I should go back to making it, but this stuff is awfully good.

This granola is simply "ok". It is not at all worth the high cost.
No one in my family would eat it after tasting it - that is just how "ok" it really is.
I had to mix it with raisins and put milk on it just to choke it down as cereal.
If you want to feel cheated out of money, buy this product.

This stuff is addictive, I'll warn you. I started purchasing this as a personal treat, but my boyfriend gobbles it down like it's a staple food. It's expensive, though. In San Francisco the price ranges from $9 to $12 per bag, but I was happy to find that Amazon's 3-pack costs only $7 per bag. Score!
I think the cocoa nibs and hazelnuts are what make this granola amazing, though to be honest the fat content probably doesn't hurt. There are 11 grams of fat in a half-cup, but when sprinkled over plain yogurt, the guilt melts away.

My husband purchased a small bag of this granola at our local natural food mart and out of curiosity, I helped myself to a bowl. Holy cow, this stuff is delicious! It's the first time I've ever had roasted cacao nibs, and the flavor so impressed me (as it probably would anyone who is a fan of bittersweet chocolate) that I researched them on Google at the very moment I was devouring them with relish. Eager to buy more of this delightful granola, I flipped the bag to look at the price tag and was aghast to find that my husband had spent $9 on a tiny bag of cereal! Yes--I am the cheapskate of the house who typically buys generic foodstuffs and whatever is on sale even if it's unpalatable, much to my husband's dismay. I suppose his purchasing this high-end cereal was payback for all those times I bought him Honey Nut Scooters instead of Honey Nut Cheerios. Well, after a taste of 18 Rabbits granola, I don't know if I can go back to cheap cereal again. I'm just glad that I was able to find it for a little bit less here on Amazon than what my husband paid at the market. And now I eagerly await the shipment so I can be transported, once again, to hazelnut, walnut and cacao heaven!
