Alwadi Al Akhdar Date Molasses, great product, delicious.
It is very nutritionists; it's full of minerals,
It makes delicious desert with Tahina (sesame souse) its Palestinian favorite.

Date Molasses is an awesome substitute for processed sugar in lots of recipes. According to the label, the only thing in the jar is dates! Regardless, I love using this product in my kitchen and was very disappointed when it was unavailable for a certain time (and I was out!). I am very happy to see that it is available again. And as I continue to use it, I will continue to replace my stock. It has become one of my kitchen essentials!

This can be substituted for regular molasses in any recipe. It is also excellent for sauces and syrups.

The label on-line clearly shows the ingredients as being strictly dates. But the syrup arrived and the label is completely different. The item includes SUGAR!! Hello!?! What is the point of that? Date syrup is supposed to be an alternative to sugar. I think it is ridiculous Amazon lets this happen. And because it is a grocery item I cannot return it. What a waste.

According to Amazon's product description (as of 10/12/2011) this molasses has only one ingredient: dates. However, according to the label it is made from "concentrated date juice, sugar, water, citric acid" (see also the picture of the label with the ingredients that I uploaded). I did not want to buy a sugar sirup with some concentrated date juice in it, I wanted to buy a natural product made 100 % from dates. I will return this product.
PS: Once again I can only praise Amazon. The product is not returnable through the online system. But when I called and explained the situation I got immediately offered a refund. I love to buy from Amazon!
