Ambrosia tahini is just as good as the more expensive brands.Mar 21, 2010

I make hummus frequently and got tired of paying $7 a jar for tahini. I ordered the Ambrosia tahini and it's very good! To me, it's got the same delicious taste as any other brand I've used. I will admit that the 4 jars will probably last me til Armageddon, but it's still a good deal.

Excellent tahiniSep 25, 2009

We use a lot of tahini at our house, sometimes buying it in gallon jars. Over the years, we've used a lot of different brands, and quite frankly they're all pretty similar. That said, the Ambrosia tahini paste has a delicious taste and pleasing texture, and the price is also nice. Add to that the convenience of having it delivered to my door, and I will definitely continue to buy it in the future.

Why is it not raw anymore??Dec 11, 2011

I used to get the raw version of this "once" delicious tahini regularly, I even subscribed to the automatic delivery....now I canceled. I am very disappointed with it being roasted now. It tastes like all the other tahinis you find around, no distinction (bitter, cooked, acid...)I don't understand why almost each single one of them is roasted and the raw ones around are not comparable to this Ambrosia brand when it was raw. Apparently good things don't last.

Too bitter for my tasteAug 17, 2010
By Christine Swiridoff I love tahini and regularly use it in several recipes. I usually buy Joyva tahini in the grocery store, but I prefer Amazon's lower prices. I recently ordered this brand based on the positive review. However, I find it unusually bitter, strong enough that it makes whatever I put it in bitter also, and I've had to toss out the food. It might be a matter of personal taste, but I haven't had bitter tahini before. I am disappointed with this purchase and wished I would have spent the few extra dollars for the Joyva tahini. I tossed the Ambrosia out.

Bitter?Jul 16, 2010
By Belle At first taste this tahini is very smooth, nutty, and buttery tasting, but almost immediately after that the flavor becomes very bitter. I'm not sure if this is normal for tahini, maybe someone can comment and tell me.
