5Better than bulk adzukisNov 11, 2006
By Lisa M. Snow
I've always liked adzuki beans, but whenever I've bought them in bulk at various stores, they tend to be poor quality, with many rocks that have to be sorted out, as well as a few shriveled up beans here and there.

I'm glad I tried these adzuki beans by Arrowhead Mills, because they're much better quality, but still at a reasonable price. Every package in the case was fresh, and although there were a couple of pebbles in one bag (which is why you should ALWAYS sort dried beans before booking them, no matter what brand they are or where you got them), they were excellent over all.

The adzuki beans arrived fast and they were fresh. Too bad I found out we don't like adzuki beans. LOL

If you have never tried these, you really must. These beans are very good for you, and so yummy. My spouse makes them in the pressure cooker.

4Great beans that are full of vitaminsMay 18, 2008

These beans are great in rice or whatever, i prefer to add a little bit of coconut oil to them when i'm cooking them to get an even better flavor.

5Very nice in Japanese BakingJan 25, 2012

A friend of mine had told me about the use of adzuki beans. I was curious, so I soaked them overnight. They taste like a slightly sweeter red bean. I found this great recipe for red bean paste, and cooked it right up. FANTASTIC!
I was a bit disappointed that two of the 6 bags I received had opened in transport right at the crease in top, but the shipping box was intact, so I guess the shifting did it. While I was sad, I still at 4 bags to work with.
