The best rice cereal - ever.Feb 01, 2009
By Kitti Finding a truly wonderful product when you are gluten intolerant is often very difficult. Rice and Shine cereal is just that, however. It is the best hot cereal that I have tried. It has a wonderful texture and flavor.

Delicious and VersatileMay 18, 2009

This is a delicious and very affordable gluten free hot cereal. After eating wheat based cereals, breads and pasta all of my long life, adjusting to a gluten free diet has not been easy. This is one of the gluten free products that has helped with the transition. I add varying combinations of cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins, nuts, to this cereal and create new flavors. Highly recommended.

Excellent gluten free hot rice cerealMay 06, 2007
By Linnea Brock With our children having been recently diagnosed with Celiac disease (Gluten intollerance), this product has been a great discovery as an excellent gluten free hot breakfast cereal. Our middle son requests "Rice & Shine" pretty much every morning, and preparation/microwave cook time is approximately 10 minutes which helps for those crazy school day mornings. We are very happy to have found this product!

Not for meApr 18, 2010
By Ann Whelan I bought this because all of the reviews were so good, but I just don't like it. It's slightly bitter and the texture is unpleasant to me. It's unusual for me not to like something-I'm not really picky about much.I really love Bob's Red Mill "Mighty Tasty". I also love Cream of Rice. I hope I can give it away to someone who will use it up, because I now have 4 boxes and just can't eat it. I fixed it both in the microwave and on the stove. I doctored it up with butter, pecans and maple syrup and still didn't like it. Then I tried it with butter and cheddar cheese-no luck. Maybe I'll try using milk instead of water.Does anyone have any suggestions?

Where your "Organic Rice" is grownFeb 26, 2012
By LeMoor With the new scare on arsenic levels in rice, I did several hours of research and found that different parts of the US that grow rice had different levels of arsenic in the soil which the rice then soaked up. I am feeding my 6 month old son brown rice cereal and am very concerned about the arsenic levels I read about. I bought this brand and after learning the rice they use is grown in Texas, and that Texas is listed as one of the higher arsenic levels, I am returning this product and purchasing Bobs Red Mill organic Brown rice farina. This rice is grown in California which is listed as the least arsenic levels (almost undetectible). I tried Quinoa and my son didn't like it. He's a little too young for oatmeal but that will be our next adventure. Just thought you would all like to know this information. Good health to everyone
