Superior taste and nutrition among the puffed cerealsJul 03, 2007
By Paul I have enjoyed standard puffed wheat for more than 30 years. This puffed Kamut performs similarly but is superior in taste and texture. I find it delicious and a favorite of my young grandchildren. Longer grains and somewhat more chewey than standard puffed wheat, this product ranks especially high for a wide range of vitamins and minerals. Very satisfied with the product and find the pricing here provides a substantial savings over even supermarket prices.

Good substitute for Puffed WheatJul 30, 2008

I'm a big fan of puffed wheat because it's very Weight Watcher friendly. I usually buy the Arrowhead Mills Puffed Wheat from Amazon (link below), but alas, it was out of stock!! So I bought this as an alternative in the meantime. The label describes it as The "Great Grandfather of Grains", being a close relative of wheat.
The taste is pretty much the same as puffed wheat, maybe not as sweet, but the puffs are much bigger, and more elongated. Also a little different in color - slightly darker.
My favorite is still puffed wheat, but this gets an "A" from me for a suitable alternative.

The Best Wheat in the WorldMar 26, 2012
By Allan R. Frazier Kamut....so what's this stuff. As they tell you on the package it's the grandfather of all wheat. It's bigger, better tasting and contains the stuff that's good for you. I try to find it locally in the store but no one (not even Wally World) has it. Being a diabetic makes any cereal selection tough but this is easy. Try it with unsweetened almond milk and a couple packets of sweetener. A great way to start the day.
