4It Cuts GreaseJun 28, 2009
By Nancy "Lady of the Lake"
I've tried several of the other nontoxic dishwashing liquids and have been very disappointed in their ability to cut grease. Biokleen actually cuts HEAVY grease and rinses clean. The smell is wonderful - not the sweet, artificial lemon smell of some cleaners. It doesn't dry out or irritate my skin either.

I use it on our dog as well. She loves to roll in the cow dung at the neighbor's farm, and shampoos have always left a faint scent of the dung even after several lathers and rinses. The Biokleen cuts the dung and removes the smell with only one wash. It doesn't dry out her coat and baths are much shorter - something she (and I) truly appreciate.

I wasn't sure about buying a whole case at one time, but now I use it as dishwashing liquid, liquid hand soap, general cleanser, and shampoo for our dog. I don't have to worry about it killing our grass, damaging our plants, or contaminating our groundwater if I use it outside. I won't have any trouble using up the whole case.

5Love BiokleenOct 04, 2010
By Shala Kerrigan
I've been using Biokleen for years after it got a Pyrex lasagna pan clean that I had just about given up on. I'm mildly allergic to some dish detergents and Biokleen Moisturizing Dishwash Liquid never caused a reaction for me.
It was a good thing, and I decided to try out this one as well. It's my new favorite. The scent is pleasant, it's fantastic on greasy pans and plates, and it still doesn't make my hands itch to use it.
For really tough jobs, I let the pan soak in this for a half hour. For normal jobs, I just wash dishes as usual. I don't need to use much of this in a sink full of water to get dishes clean and it rinses completely clean. Dishes also air dry well without spots, but I do notice water spots occasionally in my steel pans.
It also works very well for getting juices from peppers and such off my hands when I'm cooking. We've used it for pre-treating grease stained laundry and it works great on that as well.
My family tries to live as environmentally friendly as possible, so I'm glad there is a really good dish detergent that works and is environmentally friendly.
