Delicious syrup!Oct 08, 2010
By Erin I ordered this product for wedding favors. The syrup is absolutely delicious, high-quality Vermont maple -- not much else I can say about that. However -- and this is Amazon's problem, not the vendor's -- I would caution any buyer to look carefully at the items when they receive them. Five of the bottles I ordered (across separate shipments) were cracked and spilled all over the bubble wrap and box. When I contacted Amazon, I was sent a replacement. The individual bottles were wrapped in bubble wrap, rather than incautiously crammed together in a baggie.

Two Thumbs Up!Feb 07, 2011
By slapshot87 I love this particular item. Not only does the syrup taste great...but the bottle is fairly unique & makes for a great presentation at the breakfast/brunch table.
I'm fairly new to pure Vermont maple syrup - as I was raised on the typical, grocery-store, "pancake syrup" as a kid. But the taste of pure maple syrup is SO much better - and I really like the fact that it doesn't contain high fructose corn syrup & the myriad of other additives that can be found in "pancake syrup". One thing I would like to point out to others who are new to actual maple syrup is that pure maple syrup isn't as thick as the imitation syrup to which you might be accustomed. And that's OK - the taste of the former is just so much better that I don't even care about it being thinner - but just an FYI to others.
That said - and I didn't lower my rating because of the following because it's not an actual product issue - the packaging for this set is less than desirable. The 6 bottles were all taped together & then the overall set had some bubble wrap around it. I guess the bottles were rubbing up against each other during transit because 3 out of the 6 caps ended up cracked/broken. This allowed syrup to leak out of the containers. I contacted Amazon & they replaced the set - this time, each bottle was individually wrapped in bubble wrap...and then the set as a whole was again wrapped. The bottles arrived in perfect condition. I let Amazon know this - so hopefully they start individually wrapping the bottles.
But the syrup is great & so is the bottle design - it's perfect for display at a special breakfast or brunch.

Horrible packagingJan 09, 2012
By Kramerica_Industries So this set of six (6) two-ounce bottles of maple syrup arrived in Amazon.com packaging along with the other items I ordered. The bottles were packaged together with absolutly NO impact-resistance material between them. As a result, the package arrived with one broken bottle and EVERYTHING COVERED IN MAPLE SYRUP. To boot, the items I purchased including the maple syrup were gifts for my family which I sent directly to them since I flew home and didn't have room for extra carry on items. I asked my family to not open the shipment from Amazon.com (they were PRESENTS) until I got home to wrap them. Well, my mom gets the package, sets it on a couch, only to find later that the couch had a very nice MAPLE SYRUP stain from the bottom of the box. Amazon won't let me write a packaging review on my order because they say it wasn't elegible for some reason (even though all the items were, in fact, shipped by Amazon). So this review specifically is lambasting their horrible packing. I would have to encourage NO ONE to buy this maple syrup as Amazon did nothing to prevent 6 glass bottles from sloshing around in a box of other hard items NOT friendly to impact with glass. I've always been happy with Amazon with this ONE exception.
As far as the maple syrup? Cool bottles. Nice dark maple color. Not so rich or sweet. Tasted too much like the syrup didn't have enough of the water cooked out of it.

These lovely little leaf-shaped bottles of Maple Syrup, together with the Brown Family Farm's buttermilk pancake mix, bring New England with them. The quality is superb.

Not satisfiedDec 23, 2011
By Subin Hanson Not satisfied..one of the bottles was completely empty, meaning it all leaked out and made other bottles all sticky! So I got 5 bottles instead of 6.. how can I get compensated for this?? You should have wrapped them individually. Could you give me some money back for this one bottle?? I already sent you the picture of the empty bottle and sticky box.
