 Cuts grease, smells great, and it's easy on your hands!Oct 18, 2009

The bottom line is that this dish soap is awesome. As soon as I can use up what I've got left of my other stuff, I'll be switching to this permanently. Other details follow.
PACKAGING:
The bottle is easy to hold and squeeze. The top is a little difficult to pull open with wet hands, but very few dish soap tops aren't. The bottle itself looks nice on your counter, and the round shape minimizes the space it takes up. However, if you have a narrow sinkwell area, it may not fit as well as an oval-shaped "standard" dish soap bottle. I do think a more grippy design would be useful, but it wouldn't be as pretty. It's a trade-off I'm willing to make.
SCENT:
The scent is what makes this awesome. It smells sweet and fresh without being cloying. It's not immediately associated with dish soap (yet), so your guests won't guess that you just did a washing session when they walk in. I found it relaxing and pleasant, to the point that I kind of WANTED to do dishes just to smell it!
EFFECTIVENESS:
I tried this on scrambled egg remains, and it did better than either of my previous brands. I also tried it on days-old hot cocoa mugs and a cake dish. It took very little soap to cut the grease and release the particles. I've used several brands of natural/organic dish soaps, and they often just do not do the job. This one does.
ABRASIVENESS:
This leaves my hands feeling soft. I never use dish gloves, but my other soaps often leave me a little chapped or irritated. I don't recommend using it as hand soap, but I bet you could...it leaves your hands that soft!

I absolutely love, love, LOVE this dish soap! Sounds silly to be so happy about dish soap, but I hate walking away from the sink smelling 'lemon fresh' or some equally kitcheny sink smell. This smells like something I could buy at the mall at the Body Shop or Bath & Body Works, so when I am done with a heap of dishes I walk away smelling good and feeling better. I was really happy with its grease cutting power, and I was happy with how my dishes came out at the end. I never thought I would find anything that I liked as well as Dawn (I've tried so many others over the years that just didn't cut it.) ... but I will definitely be buying this again in the future!

This dish soap works better and faster than regular dish soap. I immediately decided to test the claims of the manufacturer, and I squirted a little bit onto some very dirty pans. The product worked exactly as described, without any extra scrubbing or cleaning, and the greasy dirty pans easily rinsed clean. I also love the unique, natural scent of the Caldrea Dish Soap.
Since I tried a free sample bottle, I don't know how much the product is going to cost once it's available to buy. My future purchases would depend on the cost. In a time when many people are watching their budgets closely, expensive dish soap isn't high on the list of must-buy products. If the price is comparable to regular dish soap available in the store, I'll buy it. Since the Caldrea is sold in a package of six bottles, this also reduces the amount of time/money/energy invested in schlepping to the grocery store to buy a single bottle of regular dish soap. Judging by the size of the bottles, I think one bottle of Caldrea could last an entire month, so a six-bottle purchase might last you six months, which is extremely convenient.

Caldrea is a Minnesota company that is dedicated to producing high quality cleaning supplies, made with plant-derived ingredients and essential oils, that are as friendly to the earth and your body as is possible. The Ginger Pomelo Dish Soap Liquid is a very nice dish soap. It smells very nice, much better than any other dish soap I have ever smelled, and it seemed to do its work quite well. I ran the soap through its paces, and did not notice any particular problems in getting my dishes clean.
This is a very nice product, one that I do not hesitate to recommend.

Caldrea liquid dish soap is a refreshingly new product in an established field. Packaged in a round squeeze bottle, it's easier to grip at any angle than the traditional "flat" squeeze bottles, but then again it takes up more space when sitting against the sink back splash. It's "ginger pomelo" fragrance is very pleasant and smells more "real" than the artificially scented competition. It's so pleasant and mild that I often find myself using it as a hand soap. Along those same lines, it just isn't as strong a grease cutter as the traditional soaps such as Dawn. I like it more, because of its refreshing scent and better packaging, but for tough jobs I find myself using the competition. It won't replace my traditional strong grease cutting soaps, but I think I'll keep buying both because of Caldera's other fine attributes.
