Quick lunch treatJul 04, 2009
By Sheila H Allen I love this soup. I keep about 4 cans in my desk draw in case I am unable to get away from the office for lunch. This is quick and easy to fix and eat. And the taste is sooooo great.

Kinda lame for a gubmoDec 02, 2008
By Jack M. Hoffman Way too thin and watery. Mostly broth, and not very "chunky"
Speaking of which, it's really more like a spicier chicken soup that has a few pieces of sausage in it. Get the chili instead, it's much better.

I like it!Mar 12, 2009
By M. F. Groman It's a soup, not a stew, so don't expect more solid than liquid, although my experience is that it's about equal proportions broth to solids. It's clearly labeled as "chicken & sausage" gumbo, so the lack of seafood should not surprise.
As for taste, I think it's really good. Nicely spicy, but not overdone. Fairly generous portions of chicken and sausage, with a nice complement of tomato, okra, celery, and bell pepper. It's my favorite of all the Campbell and Progresso soups I've tried, and it's on my Subscribe and Save order.
Interestingly, the "lower fat" (5 calories per serving less but equal percentage overall), lower sodium (replaced by potassium) version, which is understandably less tasty, has more calories (10 per serving).

Good stuffDec 05, 2008
By B. C. Pilch Great for a soup from a can. Full of flavor and spice but if you don't like spicy stuff, stay away from this one.
