By Mary R. Forman I am from a old world Italian family , all my family were all born in Italy ,and I myself lived in Italy and I know all about Authentic Italian food products , my family and I would only use the best Italian products, and this is one of the best Italian tomato product's . I was looking for a canned Italian tomato product that would meet my standards for best tasting and for high quality, a tamato that was full of flavor and not watery , these tomato's are pacted in tomatoe puree. This product has excataly what I was looking for, it has met my expectations and has surpassed it. I rate this as excellent , I will only use the Carmelina Brand of canned tomato products . Brava Carmelina Brands. Maria R. Forman.

What a difference a tomato makesSep 25, 2010
By LDS I have been searching for a canned tomato that wasn't more water than tomato and had a nice tomato taste. After reading several reviews I thought that I would give Mangia Carmelina Italian chopped tomatoes a try and what a difference. The chopped tomatoes are a bit saucy, but the tomato puree they are in is perfect for making a nice sauce. I enjoy the chopped tomatoes because I can make up a great sauce for my pasta in about 30 minutes. If you want more tomato in your product then I would suggest you try Mangia Carmelina's whole tomatoes in puree. The puree is so rich in either one that you will not need to add tomato paste to thicken it. I would definitely recommend these products.

Great San Marzano tomatoes at a good priceMar 06, 2012
By Torben Verdich I find these tomatoes to be a great value. Much cheaper than at the supermarket. They have a rich tomato taste perfect for tomato sauces. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my tomato sauce.
Unfortunately 10 out of 12 of the cans were dented in shipping and unusable. Amazon refunded my money without an issue. I'm not sure if this happens often with canned goods. Since they are a great value I will re order and hope that they arrive intact.

Misunderstanding Italian TomatoesNov 21, 2011
By Jane For those of you who did not get the "San Marzano', look at the price. If you paid approximately $30.00, then you will get regular ( but wonderful ) Italian tomatoes. San Marzano tomatoes will cost you about $50.00. They are worth it, but only for certain uses. I buy both kinds.
