I like the way Cetaphil cleanses my skin. ...Nov 18, 1999
I like the way Cetaphil cleanses my skin. It does not smell perfumy or pepperminty, and does not take my breath away. It does not make my face itchy nor does it burn like some face cleansers. The manufacturer recommends either to wipe the cleanser off with a dry washcloth and leave a thin layer of Cetaphil on your face to moisturize it, or, to wash it off with water. I did not particularly care for the ""leaving a thin layer on my face."" It felt pretty sticky and then dry like a masque. I did like the way it washed off my face right away with water. I think a lot of people with skin sensitivity would like this product!

Dermatologist Was Right!Nov 12, 2011
By rita My dermatologist recommended this cleanser and another brand because I have very sensitive skin. The other brand was cheaper at my local drugstore. So, I bought it but...yuk! Then, I went to Amazon and found this great deal. It was actually cheaper than the yukky brand. I showered and discovered it smelled better, made more lather, and made my skin feel better than the other brand. So, I tried it on my face. I know this is going to be hard to believe because this has never happened to me with any other product BUT...I saw a difference in ONE day...One Day! The little red splotches on my face were lighter, my pores were less noticeable, and my skin looked and felt smoother. I've used it everyday since and my skin just keeps improving. The redness is SO gone that I went out yesterday for the first time in forever without makeup. Of course, everyone's skin is unique. But if you have sensitive skin that is easily irritated, you might want to give this stuff a try, especially at this price. I wish I had tried it long ago. And now that I have, I'll never use anything else. Oh, and, no, I don't work for the company. I'm just a shopper struggling to find products worth their prices. This time, I did!

I really liked how it made my skin ...Nov 22, 1999
I really liked how it made my skin feel soft without making it greasy. I liked the fact you could use it two ways depending on what results were desired. It's fragrance free, which is important, and is very gentle to the skin. I would recommend this to others.
multi-use productApr 16, 2012
By Francesca Kelly Not only is this product a very gentle way to wash dry skin, but I hear it's a nontoxic way to get rid of head lice as well if you follow instructions that you can find on the web. It doesn't have any perfumy smell, which is good, but it also doesn't smell all that natural -- I would have liked a little lavendar or rosemary in it. Still, a very good product that's been around a long time.
Great face cleanserAug 16, 2009
By Sweet Jayne I started using this around 10 years ago after reading about it in Paula Begoun's cosmetic review books. Every so often I try other cleaners, but always go back to Cetaphil. Once or twice a week, I mix it with baking soda for a mild exfoliant. This is a great basic mild cleanser and very reasonably priced.
