A MUST FOR A FAMILY MEDICINE CABINETMay 29, 2010
By H. WILLARD I can't say enough about this product! It ranks up there with instant temp reading temple scanner and pain reliever chew tabs. I have one child that gets dried skin stuck in his ear and another that makes an over-abundance of soft ear wax. Conventional cotton swabs/tips did not do justice to either. The "scoop" end of this great little product gets the waxy stuff - the other end takes care of the skin. Our older kids use these when they get out of the shower. You can pop them in the dishwasher and santize if you'd like - or run under hot water. Yes, I'm a geek to be reviewing this product but if I can help one other parent out there with these issues - then it's worth it! I can no longer find this product at our usual drug stores and am thrilled to find it here at Amazon.

Great Ear CleanersJan 27, 2009
By Jeanie Black I love these! Way better than Q-tips. My son has very hard ears to get clean. I often had to take him to the doctor just to get his ears cleaned. The Clinere Ear Cleaners allow him to reach where I can not and not harm himself. (he's 11) They are a little pricey but better than a trip to the doctor's office. I bought in bulk with hopes they would work, so we're good for now. I will definitely re-order when we run out.

the best ever!Feb 13, 2011
By Anonymous I love the qtipi side of this and have rarely gotten any wax with the spoon, but even as a 1 sided product still 5 stars. I do suggest the better deal of buying more than a 3 pack on amazon. You are going to get totally addicted to these, and they are cleanable, but inexpensive enough for most people to throw away after a use. I had no idea how much the dead skin in my ears was itching, but this cures it and you can honestly look at a used one and see how much wax/skin has been removed- its very satisfying to look at the qtip side through the light after use. It is as gentle as you make it, you can use it very gently against the sides of your ear canal or with a bit of pressure, just make sure not to poke your drum- it is easier to poke your eardrum with the spoon which i sometimes twist or scrape a piece of wax out- so its not totally useless, its just not why i buy this product. The scrubby side feels so good you wont even believe it if you have itchy ears, this just might be what cures it! Exfoliating skin on any part of your body is a good idea, and in the ears its very very very relieving to have the dead skin removed. I use every day and always get some more skin and a bit of wax, but it seems like my ear wax has gotten much better since i started using this and it doesnt seem like i produce as much anymore. I LOVE IT!

very flimsy - dangerous!Jul 20, 2009
By D. Epps Not only is this a flimsy product (that could easily break off) but also - without a tip to prevent it from going in to far - you could easily damage your ear drum. Didn't work for me.

OK if you have big earsJan 04, 2011
By Txawj Foom This product is not for use on children. The plastic is not flexible as portrayed on the box graphics. Instead it is stiff and require a good amount of pressure to flex. The rounded end is large and, despite the small and thin appearance of the rings, it is stiff also.
In other words, they hurt the ear. I tried using these on my children ages 3, 8, and 11. After they complained about the stiff abrasiveness of these contraptions, I tried them on myself. If you want to apply enough pressure to "exfoliate" your ears, they will hurt. Also, the ends are BIG so they are definitely NOT FOR USE on children.
It turns out that another product on Amazon works better. They come in different sizes and stiffness. This allow for better control as you're attempting to remove wax. Do a search for ear curettes. These come in a variety of colors. I don't know why but Amazon review filters will not allow my post if I include the product manufacturer.
