I like this soup, and it's the perfect sizeAug 07, 2009
By Kevin C. Key First, about the size. This smaller cup is the perfect portion size for soup. When I first bought Dr McDougalls years ago, all the choices were in this size, I believe. Anyway, I THINK it says light sodium because they reduced how much sodium they used to put in it, or because compared to other brands it is pretty light.
Second, I really like the taste of this soup, and don't find it horrid at all. I realize that different folks have different tastes--which is why they make so many choices. I can't stomach the Pad Thai, for instance, but I truly like this soup. I usually steam some stir fry veggies in the microwave and eat them along with this soup. Love it. I am aware that the soup contains miso powder, which may not be everyone's cup of tea. Look at the ingredients and decide for yourself.
If you aren't sure, you could always go to Whole Foods or someplace where they sell these products one at a time to find your faves.

UnpalatableMay 25, 2010
By hb I like many of the Dr. McDougall soups, but this has a strange, slightly chemical nasty flavor.

Low Sodium just means smaller portionDec 10, 2008

"offcenter"
ALL of Dr. McDougall's "low sodium" versions are just smaller containers and portions...I've been a big supporter of their products over the years and this tactic really disappoints me.

CHINESE noodle soup...Jan 11, 2012
By Kristy Doll This is not chicken noodle soup. It has no chicken flavor because its not supposed to taste anything like chicken... its CHINESE noodle soup. Chinese. Asian. Says so right on the page. Goodness people, if you want Dr. McDougall's (vegan)CHICKEN noodle soup go get that instead..

Another win with Dr.Mcgougalls SoupJul 14, 2011

This is the third soup Ive tried from Dr.Mcdougall's line and I really enjoyed it. It has great flavor, and fills me up. I love these products, you feel better eating these than Ramen or Instant noodle cups that are so bad for you and have so many strange ingredients. I will be trying others and more of these as well. I'd rather pay a little extra then pay extra down the line on my waist line.
