I've been on a sriracha binge lately, trying a number of different brands from different countries. This one is from Malaysia. Very mild heat and very sweet, almost like a puree of red bell pepper with a dash of Louisiana style pepper sauce. According to the label there is no added sugar so I guess the variety of pepper used just has a high sugar content. There is nothing wrong with this sauce, it's just that my personal preference is for less sweet, more heat.

too mild for my tastebudsAug 21, 2009
By Guillermo L. Cancio flavor not bad at all but too mild, not really hot like the product label states.

Found a bit in a food review that brought me to this purchase; I bought a six pack and shared it with my food friends. We all love it! Good straight up, but best when blended with cooking; more flavor than heat If you want to market another interesting heat/flavor product, you should contact Pigfoot BBQ Co. @ 10870 Congress Road, West Salem, Oh 44287 (419-846-7427). They have four different versions of their sauce, but the Killer I buy by the gallon and it seems to have the half-life of plutonium. I can eat it straight, but I use it for the flavor in almost any range of sauce that I blend myself. Anyway, I just love the fact that this guy wasn't satisfied with other chili products, and just made his own; and this well. Bravo.
