This stuff is wonderful! I was a little worried about how well it would clean but I did both carpet and a sofa and am VERY HAPPY. I could not believe how much dirt it picked up! The smell is perfect... clean but not overbearing. It doesn't burn your nose & throat like some of the other synthetic cleaners. I have dogs who love to lay on the couch all day and it took the dog smell out and left it smelling fresh... I did not think that was even possible! THANK YOU!!!!! :)

Just got it today, works better then the "ACE hardware" brand I have been using (ran out of it) & almost as good as Bissell's stuff but without that very strong chemical smell. I got much more dirt up then with the "ACE" brand that I just used 3-4 days ago. I have a lite tan almost a white carpet in about 1/2 of my house, I have a dirty wood burning stove & 4 cats.
The best I have used was undiluted Bissell carpet cleaner but the 2 draw backs are that it costly & the VERY strong chemical small, also that I have a septic tank the chemicals are not good for it, yes I can dump the used water outside but I have lots of trees & bushes, then also I would have to go outside, then bring back more dirt on my feet onto the carpet I just cleaned.. Catch-22.
Smell: mostly none using the 1oz cap = A+
Cleaning: 1oz cap = A or A- ( I'm going to try 1.5-2 caps like the directions say to use on the hard spots next time)
Cost per OZ: A+ 40:1 or one 1oz cap that comes with each container
Green: A+
My Carpet Cleaner is a "Bissell Pro heat 12 amp 6 cleaning rows of dirtlifer powerbrush", it is an older one that just has one rotating brush & also has a hand tool.

Nice product if you want to be environmentally sound. Does not clean the carpet nearly as good as the machines recommended cleaner. I would not waist me money on a product that does not work. Smells good but that's about it. I assure you I am not hired to write a bad review, just a consumer wanting to inform.
