It Truely WorksDec 01, 2010
By J. Weeks I started rubbing this oil on my belly towards the end of my first trimester to help relieve some itching due to my skin begining to stretch. I didn't expect it to ward off any stretch marks since I am very prone to them, I am covered in stretch mark scars from when I went through puberty, and everything I read says there is nothing you can do to prevent stretch marks if it's in your genes to get them. Well, that is total BS because I have no stretch marks on my belly at all (I'm currently 33 weeks pregnant), but I have some on my hips and on my boobs which are only a little engorged. I can still fit into my prepregnancy bras although they are a little snug, so obviously the skin on my belly has stretched way more than my boobs and the only difference is the oil.
I read one reviewer who complained that there was vitamin e in this oil but there isn't. I checked the ingredients on my bottle (bought from Amazon.com) and there is no vitamin e listed, Amazon just needs to update their info.
I will be giving this to every friend who is expecting.

Total surprise!!!Mar 06, 2011
By kimdtaylor I wanted to wait until after I had my baby before I wrote my review of this product. Let me start off by saying I am in the medical field and have always been told that stretch marks are hereditary. My mother and sister both have stretch marks, but I wasn't going down without a fight, so after reading the reviews on this product, I ordered it. I used it throughout my entire pregnancy...EVERY morning and EVERY night. I started using it at about 8 weeks pregnant. I am so happy to inform anyone who is in doubt of this product that I did not get 1 stretch mark!!!! I was so surprised considering that my mother and sister both have them. For those who are wondering, I carried my baby for 37 4/7 weeks with not one stretchie! If you use the product it WILL work!!!

Brillant - feels good, smells great, & no stretch marks!Nov 27, 2007
By S. McQuillan I used this product every morning and night when I was pregnant with my daughter. It has a lovely scent and was very soothing as a stretch oil, massage oil, and it even helped with dry skin on my arms. I highly recommend this and all the Earth Mama Angel Baby products - especially the nipple butter and bottom cream.

Good, even though it's an "oil"Aug 31, 2010

"New Mommy Oasis"
Pros: mild scent, good consistency, east-to-use spray applicator
Cons: can feel thin layer on your skin after application
Review: I have to be honest and say that I don't like oily things on my body. I'm just not a fan of feeling greasy. This rule applies to suntan oils, massage oils and baby belly oils (hey, I'm not prejudice!). So, when Earth Mama Angel Baby asked me to try it out I wasn't too excited. After all, I would have to rub something with the word "oil" in the title onto my skin.
When I opened the bottle and took a sniff (with my super-sensitive pregnant nose) I was happy to find that the scent was super mild, almost nonexistent. This was a big positive for me.
I used two pumps of the oil in the palm of my hand and then applied to my 24-week-pregnant belly. I was pleasantly surprised that the oil was not too watery so it didn't run everywhere. I actually used two more pumps of the oil to make sure I got enough on the sides of my stomach towards my back.
Now, the big test for me was how greasy it felt after application and how long it stayed greasy. It left a very thin layer of oil on the top of my skin. I asked my hubby to feel to make sure I wasn't being overly sensitive but he could feel it, too. I went ahead and put on my pajamas and climbed into bed. About 30 minutes later the oil had completely absorbed into my skin. Not too bad for an oil product!
Actually, I have continued to use Earth Mama Angel Baby Belly Oil in the evenings and, so far, no stretch marks! I would recommend this product to my pregnant friends, especially if they don't have an aversion to oil like I do.
In addition, I plan to bring this oil with me to the hospital so that my nurse and/or husband can use it during labor for a perineal massage. I really don't want to have another episiotomy!

Skin IrritationOct 09, 2010
By Jenessa Vitous I bought this oil for my first child (who I'm still pregnant with) and I was excited for something organic that would prevent my stretch marks. I knew I was doomed for them, as my mom and grandmothers all had them, but I wanted to make them a little less worse. After only TWO USES of the oil, I developed a very itchy rash that my doctor referred to as "Pups" all over the areas that I used the oil on; my back, shoulders, stomach and legs. There was no more sensitive spot then the next which convinced me it was the oil. It smelled good, but the irritation was unbearable, so I had to waste my money and stop using it. I then switch to this big, lame bottle of cocoa butter as a temporary replacement until I found something new (I bought it for $2 flat at Walmart) and to my surprise, it actually cleared the stretch marks that I already had within A WEEK of usage. My advice, skip the fluffy "pregnancy appeal" because it is not sensitive to pregnant skin. Go with good old fashion cocoa butter or 100% cocoa butter sticks which will do the trick more efficiently and gently. It will also cost you a lot less.
