Unusual disappointment for Ener-GNov 02, 2006
By ARealAVFan I've tried several brands of gluten-free pizza crusts, I bought the Ener-G as my latest product exploration. Being a huge fan of many of Ener-G products, I thought this one would be a slam dunk hit. How wrong I was. The Ener-G pizza crusts are too thin, dense, and heavy, with very little taste. You would think "thin" and "heavy" would be contradictory, but that's what I really mean to say. By contrast, the Kinnikinnick pizza crusts are light and fluffy, with such an outstanding declicious flavor. I would strongly suggest buying a single package of the Ener-G pizza crusts from your local health food store first. I made a mistake trusting Ener-G on this product before I bought a whole case of it. It was an expensive lesson. But, nonetheless, a huge thanks to Amazon for offering so many gluten-free products. Here in the US, we are just starting to become familiar with how many people are affected by gluten.

Easy to makeMay 08, 2007

I like these. They are quick and easy to make. If you follow the directions they come out about half way between crispy and chewy. Kinda remind me of the bisquik crusts my Mom used to make. The only thing I don't like is that there is no edge, so you have to be careful piling on the ingredients...They have a tendency to fall off near the edge of the shell. Overall these are good shells to keep on hand.

Very GoodNov 15, 2006
Me and my brother have PKU, so we are on a low protein diet. We really liked these pizzas.

very good, but watch out for mold in bulk orders!!Feb 25, 2008
By Gluten Free in Seattle I love this product, but have had bad luck with finding mold in factory sealed, bulk orders (2 out of 3). I have reported one item, from a previous order without hassle. However; the last moldy package, I just tossed (thinking I had waited to long to report it). I don't know if the vacuum packing was faulty from the source or if the item wasn't inspected properly before shipping. The package I tossed was blatantly obvious and shouldn't have been sent.
Because I tend to buy in bulk, I don't always open all the factory sealed boxes at once -but simply store them until needed which tends to be within weeks (note: expiration dates are up to a year). My suggestion is to open the box(s) when the product arrives and do a thorough inspection - reporting any problems immediately. Other than that, this is a good deal and the product is a gracious compromise to a real pizza crust.

Yes!! Pizza!!Aug 20, 2008

Three out of five members of our family were diagnosed with wheat sensitivity a year ago. We all miss easy pizza, like on bagels and self-rising frozen pizzas. We have had some good products from Ener-G and some not so good. This pizza shell is good, but you have to "fix" it. I've found that a simple addition of egg white wash and salt and pepper on this shell, 10 minutes in the oven and only then do you add the toppings (cook until the cheese is melted) makes the shell go from so-so to great. My kids all looked at me in shock when they ate, my oldest asked if I had messed up and given them wheat! I order this in bulk every two weeks, love it!
