I can eat a hamburger again!Sep 01, 2006
By Dawn Clark After almost three years of avoiding any type of hamburger bun due to celiac disease, I was really thrilled to be able to eat a real hamburger on a bun! I wrapped it in a moist paper towel and nuked it for 15 seconds and it softened up enough to compare favorably with a normal hamburger bun. The fact that they can be stored without refrigeration until opened for a long period of time is a big plus! I have not tried toasting one yet as I would have to use the family toaster-oven to do it and do not want to take a chance on contamination with real bread crumbs, etc. I would recommend this product to any one.

This deserves a 4-star rating!Aug 25, 2007
By Janice B. Rogenski But I give it 5 stars to upgrade the previous rating so people won't be discouraged from ordering them. I agree totally with the content of the other review, though. To be able to eat a hamburger again is wonderful! Other products crumble and don't contain leakage. These buns hold up very well with a juicy hamburger with all the trimmings. Room temperature storage until package opening is a real plus. The buns do need microwaving for 20 seconds or so to be edibly soft so they probably wouldn't work for a cold sandwich. The flavor is the same as my memory of wheat buns.
Hamburger BunsApr 11, 2011
By Patsy I purchased these for my husband because he never gets a hamburger bun when we grill burgers. I was pretty confident they would be good as he loves the bread I get him from Ener-G foods & we weren't disappointed. I highly recommend these for anyone in your household that is gluten intolerant especially with summer comming and it seems that's when everyone wants to have a BBQ.

"gluten free cook"
Delicious replacement for wheat flour buns. Taste best when lightly toasted. My Celiac kids love them and use them for "sub" sandwiches as well as burgers.
odd tasteJan 28, 2010
By P. Moore I have been on a GF diet for ten years. I've used these buns several times over the years and still can't get used to the odd smell and taste. As soon as I open the package I put the remaining buns in the freezer so I know they're "fresh" (maybe if I let them get freezer burn it'd kill the taste?). So why do I continue to buy them? Like the others I'm desperate to have burgers.
I agree with another review in that homemade buns (and bread) are a lot better (but they are so much trouble to make!).
