2A shoe would be better tastingDec 12, 2006
By Maneki Neko "M.N."
I feel bad about critically reviewing products by Ener-g foods- they are a decent company and have been providing safe food for those with celiac sprue and other dietary needs for years. But, it must be said, that these pizza crusts are terrible, and they are also extremely expensive for what you DON'T get. There is no reason this product should be so expensive. Rice flour and tapioca have been the cheapest GF food ingredients for years- and do these ingredients sound good to you? Filtered Water, Rice Flour, Cold Pressed High Oleic, Safflower Oil, Tapioca Starch, Pear Juice Concentrate, Bamboo Fiber, Yeast, Methylcellulose, Guar Gum, Salt, Glucono Delta Lactone, Calcium Phosphate, Enriched with Thiamine (Vitamin B1), Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Niacin, Iron and Folic Acid. Yum. This pizza crust tastes like it sounds. Just say no. Do yourself a favor and buy Carol Fenster's cookbook and make your own, or buy Kinnikinnick's pizza crust as an alternative. I appreciate the fact that Amazon is selling some gluten free products in their grocery section... I just hope they will get some better tasting products, because they ARE out there. These might be good for a low protein diet- but since rice flour and tapioca starch are low in protein anyway, you could make your own and they would taste a heck of a lot better. BTW, Ener-g foods pasta and flours are not bad- and they are certainly safe. Please give them your business- just don't waste your money on these pizza crusts.

4Great pizza crust, but check for moldy packagesMar 07, 2011
By celiac
A real find for celiac pizza lovers! Two times that I have received an order, though, some of the packages were already moldy even though the expiration date was some time in the future. Amazon took care of this problem very quickly. Just check your packages carefully when they arrive and then enjoy some pizza!

4pleasing treatAug 26, 2007

I found if you toast it first, then add olive oil on top, before adding the sause, cheese, and favorite topping is is a very good "Friday night" treat.
