Fisher Original Fair Scone MixMar 31, 2009
By Craig S. Jorgensen Fisher Scone Mix is the best. Fisher Original Fair Scone Mix, 18-Ounces (Pack of 6)My experience with this product goes back more than 50 years. My mother was from Wales and tried other scone mix but none was so light and fluffy as Fishers. When I married my wife I learned that her mother had worked in the Scone Booth at the Western Washington State Fair in Puyallup, Washington when my wife was a child. Her mom used to buy scones at the end of her shift and bring them home to the family and that's when her love affair with Fisher Scones began. We've been enjoying them all our lives. Hot from the oven, slathered in butter and raspberry jam makes them melt in your mouth! My children and grandchildren are now hooked. I order them on Amazon and have them shipped to my son's family in California because they haven't been able to find the product in stores where they live.

Fisher Original Fair Scones Save the Day!May 24, 2009

I've been worried about the picky eating habits of my 12 year old grand-daughter for a long time. She eats only a few things and refuses to try new things. One day my cousin from Seattle gave me a box of this scone mix while my granddaughter was at my house. I asked her to help me bake up a batch, and she was willing to do it, but said, Grammy you know I won't eat them. I said okay and she proceeded to help me mix. She watched them grow in the oven and said, mmmmm, that smells good. When it was cooked I glazed it with a simple powdered sugar and evaporated milk topping. I opened one up and put a generous portion of butter on it. She said it was the best thing she ever ate! Since then I've ordered two cases, 24 boxes, and she's enjoyed 18 boxes already and it's become her very favorite snack. Now she's more willing to try other things. Thank you for being a life saver!

Even though the package says "Scone Mix" - it should say "World's Best Waffle Mix!" The waffle recipe is on the box and it is easy and delicious. Try adding toasted pecans or blueberries or whatever you can think up. I don't think you will be disappointed. Makes a great gift.

Love this scone mix. So light and flaky and easy to make. I add chopped apricots and ginger to the mix and it is wonderful. It also makes good biscuits in a pinch. I have been using this mix for 15 + years and highly recommend it.
