1DisappointedJul 04, 2010

When I read these words "Gillette Sensor Shaving Cartridges for Men, 10-Count Packages (Pack of 2)" I thought I would get 2 packages of ten.

Maybe I can't read or add

Maybe the ad is misleading

4Great razors and longer lasting then more expensive multi blade optionsNov 19, 2009
By BTrain
Ok, so when I was out of work for a bit a few years ago i sat down and looked at all my expenditures at razors came up on the list. After some experimentation I came to the conclusion that something like a sensor two-blade razor was basically as effective as other more expensive options with three or four blades on them. This cost savings is further multiplied by the fact that, in order to fit more blades on those other razors, the blades are made much thinner and are more prone to wearing out. So a sensor blade like these are much cheaper and seem to last longer. This package is a good pack of 20...I'm not sure if the price is the best one out there, but i was able to throw this in an order and have it delivered rather then making a run to a store and having to remember to get these.

5a happy, bald headMay 07, 2007
By Paul Thomas "thepablo"
I have been shaving my head for about a dozen years now. When I started, I just used the same blades I was using on my face: Gillette Sensor. Every once in a while, I try something new. Perhaps it's in my christmas stocking. Maybe it's on super sale. Maybe it's all I can find at Costco. Regardless, they have all been failed experiments and I must go back to the plain, old Sensor.

Sensor Excel. Quattro. Mach 3. I have tried many things. What do all of these (and many more) have in common? They all have the little rumble strip before the blades. The rumble strip (i'm sure there is a more formal name) probably results in a smoother shave for many people, but for me the result is simply a bloody head.

If Gillette every stops making these, I don't know what I will do. They do a fine job on my head and face and never leave me bloody.

5Three, four, and five blades are just overkillDec 31, 2007
By T. Fitzpatrick
I couldn't agree more with Paul Thomas "thepablo." Like him, I've tried all kinds of razors, inluding Gillette's newer designs, such as the Fusion. For me, the soft rubber "rumble strip" that Gillette adds to these newer models just gets in the way and prevents me from getting as close a shave as I get with the good old Sensor. Another problem with the Gillette Fusion is the location of the pivot point between the handle and the cartridge; it's just plain awkward. That, coupled with the ribbed rubber strip, creates major shaving frustration. In any case, Gillette makes the best blades, at least for thick barbed wire beards like mine. Schick blades are garbage by comparison. They seem dull even when they're brand new, which leaves me a nicked-up, bloody mess. Gillette, I beg you, please don't stop making my tried-and-true Sensor blades!!!

5Preferred razor for years nowApr 17, 2010
By Shala Kerrigan
I was thrilled to find these on here on a subscribe option. Less enthused when I read further and found out they won't ship to Alaska because this is a decent price on these cartridges and the subscribe option looks great.
My husband and I have been using Sensors for the last 20 years. They give a nice clean shave and the blades last us a week which is a lot better than how quickly newer razors seem to last since they are so thin to have so many blades in a cartridge. I also like the smaller head for getting around curves on my legs.
We have tried some of the newer razors with more blades and other options, and keep going back to the Sensor. It's a good solid design that's stood the test of time.
