 great solution to freezer cookingNov 06, 2006

These pans are a fine solution to the freezer cooking storage dilemma. They're reasonably priced enough to buy multiples, they are reusable, and they are freezer, oven and microwave safe. I simply could not find ANY other reasonable containers to fit that bill. These even stack very nicely in the freezer. The only drawback is the 'rules' for oven use. You must preheat the oven for 20 minutes before placing the ovenware in it, and the ovenware pan must be on a cookie sheet in the center of the over. Also, there can be NOTHING else in the oven with the ovenware pan, and the bottom of the pan must be covered with food. So, these are perfect for casserole-type dishes, which is mainly what I will use them for.

The 8x8's I ordered were great to bake in but when I went to use the lids they didn't fit anymore. I am sure this is because after baking and cooling the container is no longer the same dimensions thus the lids no longer fit. I used shipping tape to keep lids on. Still looking for bake and go ware. Thanks for showing interest in my opinion.

The Glad OvenWare pans are so great!! You can use them as storage, freeze in them and use them in the oven!! And even better, they are reusable! They are hard to find in the stores, but I use them for freezer cooking so when I need them I just buy a case!! Definitely a great product!

I use these all the time. They're great. This is the second time I've ordered them. They stack perfectly in the freezer or refrigerator. And go right from freezer to oven (take off the plastic lid, though). They're soooo convenient. I have trouble finding them in stores though - which is why I'm happy to find them on Amazon.

I take a day every so often and cook up a bunch of freezer entrees to have handy for those busy days. I prefer not to use my regular bakeware as then it is tied up in the freezer until I cook the freezer meal. I then switched to freezer bags, plastic containers, foil pans, etc., but Glad Ovenware is my favorite hands-down. You don't have to transfer the entrees to cook them as with freezer bags and plastic containers. Foil pans you don't have to hassle with transferring to cook but the pans are flimsy and don't hold up well in the freezer. Glad Ovenware is convenient and holds up so well that many times I wash and reuse the container before throwing away. Also if I give a meal away to someone in need, they don't have to worry about returning a dish. I originally purchased these at the grocery store and then was unable to find them anywhere. Once again, Amazon to the rescue and now I have a case of the 8x8 and 9x13 pans ready and waiting.
