disappointing tasteJan 29, 2007
By L. Killian I enjoy Chai teas very much. I was looking forward to having it in Kcup form. The taste of this product, however was a big disappointment. In fact, I could detect very little flavor other than ordinary black tea. None of the spices I associate with Chai were there. I am very sorry that I purchased 2 boxes.

I bought it and I like itFeb 08, 2007

I use all kinds of teas with my Keurig and like them all. This Chai is one of them. No, it's not the major spice injection you get when you buy a Chai tea somewhere, but this is just the tea without all the sugar, whole milk, and other stuff added. If you want a nice tea with a Chai twist then this is just fine.

I'd hoped for so much and got so little...Feb 05, 2007
By UhOhBadDog I had so looked forward to trying this Chai on my Keurig B-70 brewer, as I have been so satisfied with all of the other coffee and tea brews (including from Gloria Jean). Much to my dismay though, I was left wanting more. I even attempted to alter the brew volumes in an effort to create a positive outcome to no avail. Simply put, this "Chai" just lacks sufficient doses of the spices that I have come to expect with good Chai tea - I can't say it isn't there, but there just isn't enough. Once a bit of honey and some hot milk are added, most of the Chai Spice is lost. I'm left to look elsewhere.

Go For Cafe Escapes Chai Latte and Bypass This One!Nov 06, 2010
By A Burke Gloria Jean's Chai Tea for K-Cups is not much better than drinking warm water...or warmed milk. There is absolutely NO taste. Even if you use 2 K Cups (@4oz of water each), the flavor doesn't improve and you've now made the drink twice as expensive for the same amount of little or no satisfaction. So, the price doubles for less than half of any enjoyment. Am donating the 2 boxes I just purchased to our office kitchen and going for Great Escapes Chai Latte instead. One K cup of that, even with 10 oz of water, is everything you could ever hope for in a Chai with good, strong body and the right mix of spices, while not overdone. To steal a wine-tasting phrase, it's the most approachable of the Chai's. As with anything, there are people who don't want the aromatic burst of a strongly spiced tea, so they will go, as tea drinkers for a green or white tea, rather than a stronger black tea, and still others will fall in between. But whether you are pondering a Starbucks menu or the supermarket selections of Twinings, Stash or other Chai's, I think most people will want a stronger, more aromatic and hearty Chai, especially on a chilly morning to take the edge off. The other competitive Chai Tea product vendors on Amazon may not be "Amazon Prime eligible" (note to Amazon: work out a Prime arrangement with one of the Great Escapes vendors), but if you find the right deal of cups/price, it will be well worth the purchase.
Everyone's tastes are different; granted. And I said to myself, how bad could this be? But I wished I'd believed the other reviews, before I went and purchased this product, and 2 boxes, at that. Gloria Jeans puts out many excellent K Cup products, as does Green Mountain/Timothy's and others. This is NOT one of them. I am sure it has its 5-star fans, but count me out. Regardless of the price, and now like several other reviewers, I am really disappointed in the quality of this product.
Unfortunately, one star is as low a rating as is possible to give a product review.

A very watery, weak brewFeb 04, 2010
By GardenGal I was so disappointed with this. I looked at the star rating, but did not bother to read the reviews -- I wish I had taken the time. There is very little flavor, and the color of the brewed product is extremely pale. Add a little milk and it is almost white. This is not Chai. The Keurig Cafe offering is much more expensive, but far better (though still not perfect).
