5Only for burghul/cracked wheat fans or die hard health food loversFeb 28, 2007
By Alex Cortez
I absolutely love this product. It is simply wheat cracked into pieces and soy pieces. I bought it as I thought it is a nice way to add protein to cracked wheat which I am used to eating in Middle Eastern food. It is a very healthy food albeit on the dry side by itself.

Rather than use it as a breakfast food, I use it as a substitute for rice in dishes or as a side for fish or meat. You can add to it butter or oil in the cooking as you might do with rice or vegetables or meat.

It will take getting used to for the commoners:-) My mother and father told me I fed them feed when I convinced them to try it:-) They see they may live long if they eat it but it would be a long and boring life:-)

5Delicious and substantialJan 09, 2010

I recently made a life change of what foods to eat, and one change was to go to whole grain foods. I never had Bulgar Wheat before but found it delicious, especially with fresh bluberries, bananas, etc. You can make some extra and keep it in the fridge for a quick breakfast on another day that is just as good as the first day you made it. This is a good price for the quantity you get.

5Good and DeliciousSep 10, 2010
By Donna Thomas-Krabbe
Makes a wonderful start to your day. Healthy, good tasting, and inexpensive - what more could you want? I eat this year round - even in the summer. Sometimes I make a big batch and bring it into work, or sometimes I make it at work in our office microwave.

5Love this!Dec 15, 2011

I've been eating Hodgson Mill Milled Flaxseed and Soy Hot Cereal for over a year - was on a subscription with Amazon to get it regularly because I really liked it. But I was ready for a change and decided to try the Bulgur Wheat. Wow. I am pleasantly very surprised by how good this is! Very, very flavorful and very hearty as well. I had to figure out how to fix a single serving in the microwave because there are no instructions for that on the box, but I just used 1/4 cup of the cereal with 1/2 cup water and nuked it for 3 minutes. Could have done with a bit less water, but it worked overall. One thing about the NI listed: It's different than what is on Amazon. Calories for 1/4 cup is 115, and it has 3 g fiber and 10 g protein, which is different from what was listed when I first looked it up for purchase.
