Sambal Oelek is hands down the best chili paste out there. It is spicy but it is a different kind of heat than Tabasco for example. I put it on almost everything!

I can get this item, same product same size, for less than the case price here. A single jar cost less than one sixth of this price, and I don't have to pay shipping.
Despite the pricing, this is the gold standard of chili sauce. I've tried many a brand, I've tried to make my own, but this is the winner by a mile.

Very good producted, with poor package and shipping. I recieved 12 jars to get 9 good ones. The first order had one opened jar with the seal broken and the replacement order had two jars open with the seals broken.

First experience with this sauce was on vacation where it was used to saute vegetables for an omelet. Definitely gets your attention!!!
Great for adding to spaghetti sauce, sauteed vegetable, barbecue sauce, etc. Have not tried in chili as yet. To quote Emeril: "POW!"
