4On a scale of 1 to 10 for hotness....May 06, 2010
By death_hawk
I'd give it a 6.
It sounds low (especially since I rated it a 4 out of 5) but most "Extra Hot" horseradishes or mustards are a 3. Regular Horseradish is like -4.

This stuff has a decent kick, but is by no means really really hot.
So far, it's the hottest horseradish I've found in retail channels, but not the hottest I've had.

Would I buy it again? Yes. Until I can find something hotter that's fulfilled/shipped by Amazon.

While fairly hot, I have tasted better-- the vinegar flavor is too strong.

This horseradish is watery (possibly due to high vinegar content) and finely cut, so there is almost no texture.

This stuff will clear your sinuses. Mixed with yellow mustard and you have a killer pretzel dip. Great on beef or pork. Love this stuff on sausages with cheese.

5Everything I hoped for.Jul 24, 2010

Exactly as advertised, and the service was great. I`m not exactly a horse-radish gormet, but I can`t imagine how it could have been any better. Best I`ve ever bought.

4Good, but not too hot.May 30, 2010

This is a pretty decent horseradish for using straight on your meat or what have you. Not too hot. Horseradish fans will find it a little bland. Mix it with a little mayo (about 2 parts horseradish-1 part mayo) for the more squeamish eaters.
