They will make 2 1/2 gallons on their own, or five gallons with the addition of corn sugar or extra malt. The corn sugar will not add any flavor or body to the beer, only alcohol. Sugar is a good idea if you want to make a light American or Mexican style ale. Adding three to four pounds of dry or syrup malt will help add extra body and flavor to your beer. Most cans require only a fifteen minute boil. You can add additional finishing hops to increase the aroma. | | | Features: | |

Good Irish Stout MaltMar 27, 2009
By Brian T I used it (single can) for to make a 2.2 gal Irish Stout in a Mr. Beer beer kit, per the included instruction of the can. I did not add additional unhopped malt extrat. The beer came out very good (a little strong since it is supposed to make 2.5 gal). It is made by Munton PLC but I can't find it at Munton's website. I plan to split a single can into 2 batches with add'l 1.6lb of UME for each 1/2 Ironmaster IS, in the Mr. Beer 2-gal kit.
