The actual taste of the jerky is good so long as you eat the entire package quickly.
The jerky is not packaged in such a way as to preserve the taste or integrity of the product. The top of the canister is not airtight and doesn't do much in the way of keeping the jerky from getting dried out and stale at which point it becomes hard and brittle like an actual stick. Granted, jerky is supposed to be dried out but there's a point at which it becomes too stale to enjoy.
The product is within a plastic bag in the canister for some reason but the bag is open at the top and doesn't seal so I have no idea why it's actually there. The lid doesn't screw on so much as snap on and it doesn't really preserve the sticks well.
If you're a jerky fanatic you'll probably eat them quickly enough so none of this becomes a problem but for me, 24 sticks lasts a while and I wound up throwing about 6 of them out as they had become too hard and brittle to enjoy. It might be a better call to just remove them from the canister and cut them up to fit in a ziploc bag.

Jack Link brands to me are the best in jerky and now included are these meat snacks....these are very tasty and are not at all greasy like some other brands...you won't be disapointed !!!

These large meat sticks are very tasty. A great snack to keep you going when a meal is still a couple hours away. My only complaint is they have a little too much salt for those who are salt conscience.

I've never had a Jack Link's product I didn't like, and I believe these smoke house styles have become my favorite. These have a respectable level of heat, and are not as greasy as other brands or types. It is a slightly "drier" type of beef stick, as intended. They have a great smoked flavor, which is different from the usual types of beef stick. Excellent product.
