If you make fruit smoothies, you can increase the thickness without ice by using a pack or two of Knox Gelatin. I mix soy milk, Dan
Active (liquid yougurt,) Snapple diet iced tea, and pieces of whatever fruit I have with Knox. Then I chill it in the refrigerator or freezer. It comes out thick and not diluted because there's no ice.

This was a great product. We used it for off the label use---making ballistics gel. See google if you want to know how as well.
The only drawback was the outrageous pricing on Knox Gelatin, but Amazon is AMAZING and has the lowest price ANYWHERE, trust me I looked.

I read a blog about using this gelatin as a bone joint supplement. After researching this I decided to give the gelatin to our Great Pyrenees who was suffering from severe hip displasia at a rate of 1/2 packet per day. After a 4-5 days she began to improve very rapidly. Shortly afterwards she was back on duty guarding our stock. Just before cold weather I start her on Knox and continue through the winter months. She has never missed a days work since. I now sprinkle a little Knox gelatin on my oatmeal every morning!
In short, the stuff works!
