I bought this licorice on vacation and am excited to order from Amazon. This is top tasting licorice in my experience -being raised on licorice as the candy of choice.These are little hard wafers that fit in you mouth and take a long time to melt away. just yummy

You have to know DOUBLE SALT licoriceJan 06, 2011

Just because it states licorice - please understand that this is Double Salt licorice - exactly as it states! Double salt means very very salty - an acquired taste. You need to start with regular dutch licorice like the cats then if you enjoy that work your way up. Not fair to give a low rating if you don't know what your doing!

These are pretty good double salt candies (warning very salty), but I think the quality and flavor of the Gustaf's Dutch Licorice, Double Salt is better and I'd recommend getting those instead (see Gustaf's review).

I had double salt licorice many years ago, love it. This meets my espectations very well. It is extremely salty and is too salty for some(many). But the intense licorice flavor is very nice.

I grew up in a Dutch household, and was brought up eating salt licorice. For me, this is the best treat on the market. It's not only yummy, it's good if you have a scratchy throat. I'm so glad to see it on Amazon; and the price really beats the local Dutch Bakery. I don't recommend them for people that don't know what they're getting, but if you do know what you'e getting, I highly recommend them.
