I bought this licorice on vacation and am excited to order from Amazon. This is top tasting licorice in my experience -being raised on licorice as the candy of choice. These are little hard wafers that fit in you mouth and take a long time to melt away. just yummy

good value, taste, and textureOct 26, 2010
By Lobod This dutch coin licorice has good firmness and chewiness (could be a little harder for my liking). I love all salty licorice and this is slightly salty and a hint of sweet, a good start for a newbie. First impression is that the flavor is a little off for this type of coin licorice (that's why 4 stars). But the good news is that it grows on you and now I'm a multiple repeat buyer. I like my licorice rock hard, so I leave my bags open to harden the licorice in our southwest climate till I can't resist them anymore :-)
If you like this, you will also be very pleased with K&H salt licorice with gum arabic. That licorice has a little more flavor and a slightly firmer texture than these coins.

JUST THE BESTAug 10, 2010
By S. Kruszka If you are real true lover of licorice, the Kraepelien & Holm Coin Licorice is one of a kind. The taste is a medium taste and you get the real taste of licorice, not waxy or sugary, so it's not real sweet. Also the left overs keep well, although I don't usually have allot of left overs, as once I receive my order, eat some and share some with friends and family who also love the taste, there's not always allot leftovers, but they do last a long time if you decide to store them until later. To me, there's nothing like it, the good, real taste of licorice and I'm hooked. Thank You Kraeplin & Holm for making such a good tasting treat !! Thank You candy companies for carrying it and making it available to the customers. Sincerely ~ A very pleased customer.

I'm a black licorice lover and I think I've found the perfect licorice in these money coins. I like a chewy licorice with lots of flavor, not too sweet and not too salty, and this ticks all the boxes. K&H have hit a home run in my book.

With a title like that, you might wonder why I still gave them 3 stars. Well, they keep my mouth occupied. I quick chewing tobacco and this is one of the things that I replaced the habit with. They get soft after sucking them for a while and I kind of like having them disolve in my mouth. You got so much too. It will take me months and months to eat all of them. There's definitely better tasting and softer licorice. It depends on what you like.
