NOT French and NOT ItalianSep 05, 2010 Words like "La Tourangelle" and "Huile de Pepins de Raisin" on the packaging imply that this product is French or is made from French grapeseeds. There is even a recipe on the back for "French Grapeseed Oil Vinaigrette" (it's actually just a French vinaigrette that is made with grapeseed oil).
This is, however, NOT a French product. It is made in Chile.
I really hate companies that do this. This is borderline deceptive marketing. One-star product.
best kept secreteAug 01, 2010 This has changed our eating habits and improved our taste buds. Never before have we been able to fry at such a high degree and have crisp oil free food. Using it in corn bread is wonderful and on salads it so good. No protein, fat and odor free gives this oil 8 stars and should be marketed better than it is. Our friends can't believe how much this oil inhances food and how little you need to go such a long way. This is the key oil to make your dishes stand out!!and I am not fibbing.

Nice product, poor Amazon shippingMar 10, 2010 This is a very clean and pleasant-tasting grapeseed oil. I use it for most of my sauteeing and other oil-based cooking. I was happy to find La Tourangelle products on Amazon at reasonable prices. The only problem is that Amazon fulfillment did a terrible job of shipping my order, so that all of the cans came loose in the carton and received dents as they rattled around.

Packaging was the worse I have ever receivedFeb 10, 2010 My Grandson brought me the box that was delivered. The bottom of the box was not taped at all. It just had some glue. One can was coming out of the bottom. All cans were terribly dented. There were 4 air pillows in the box, and the cans were moving around. Why couldn't the sender put a little newspaper in the box? If you don't want to receive 4 dented cans, don't buy these!!!!

nice productFeb 06, 2010 I bought my first bottle of this kind of oil at Fred Meyers because a recipe that I have changed to requires it. The benefits of this kind of oil was not clear to me until after doing a little research on it. When I realized the health benefits I decided to buy more and this company offered what looked like the same product at a much lower price so I bought it. The only difference I can see between this oil and the Fred Meyer oil is the lighter green color of the La Tourangelle. It says "delicate" right on the label though so is makes sense that it would be lighter. What I have yet to determine however, is if delicate has the same health benefits as the darker variety.
