Excellent product, badly packagedJan 30, 2008

We received our posole corn and the product is excellent; however, the packaging leaves much to be desired. Many of the packages were popped open at the bottom and there was posole corn all over the bottom of the shipping box. We had to put the corn in jars instead of leaving it in the packages. I have ordered from this Company before, and will again.

Perfect, clean white kernels cook up with a hearty, nutty flavor...Feb 17, 2011

I am the Posole Queen, really. I was raised on posole as a kid, and now at 56 years old, I make it just like my grandma did, exactly the same way each time -- simple, with simmered pork with its own broth, New Mexico red chili pureed, onion, garlic, and salt. Since I moved from New Mexico, I've had the most difficult time finding it in its dried form, and dried is truly best. It has a wonderful texture and flavor, and each kernel pops open like popcorn when its cooked. I soak the dried kernels overnight, drain, add fresh water and cook it for an hour or two then mix it with the cooked pork and red chili. I've only been able to find dried posole online, and have found that this company's posole is the cleanest, most uniform, and reasonably priced that I've seen for a long time. I buy it by the case on Amazon -- oddly enough, it's cheaper than purchasing it from the company's own web site. It has a decent recipe on the package -- not my grandma's, but sounds good. I made posole for my coworkers at Christmas and they LOVED it and have been asking me to make it again. I'm on my 2nd case of dried posole in 3 months (although I did give some away as gifts). You will be impressed by their SUPER FAST delivery...

Just like home!Oct 03, 2011
By Edythe L Clark We've moved away from New Mexico and one thing we've missed is "Posole Stew" (yummy concoction you're familiar with if you've ever lived there). Ordered dried posole from this company and it was just like being back in the Land of Enchantment! Great service, Amazon!

Very tasty posole. I used it to make a great southwest soup base and this was a great add. I will buy again!
