Cooktop Magic worked for us. I thought our stove top was damaged when a metallic sheen from using an older aluminum pot couldn't be removed. The complimentary cleaner that came with the stove did nothing. A few minutes, a little of this stuff and a micro fiber cloth did the job. Glass looks new again.

After buying a smooth top electric range (no choice, no gas in my neighborhood) I was worried about the cleanup. I know these types of ranges are difficult to clean and I didn't want a stained range top. The salesman gave me a bottle of Cooktop Magic and told me to give it a try.
Unbelievable! It cleans with a minimum of scrubbing. I do use a sort of scouring pad meant for delicate surfaces, and I use the pad dry, wetting it with the Cooktop Magic as I use it. Works great.
Cleaning up with a sponge and the range top is clean as a whistle. My range is 4 years old now and looks factory new. Can't do better than that.
The price is the best I've found also, and buying in bulk, 6 bottles at a time, is even better.
Also another use I've found for this is cleaning our iron. The iron developed a sort of scale on the teflon surface. Before tossing the thing out I figured "why not give this a shot?" Worked like a charm. Didn't hurt the teflon coating and cleaned the iron to a like-new condition.
You won't go wrong with this.

I've never used another brand, as this one was recommended to me as "the ONLY kind to buy." Having never tried anything else, I have no comparison, but I will say this does the job satisfactorily. I squirt a big dollop on each range area, and then smear it around and let it sit. The cleaning solution soaks up the burnt residue and all it takes is a quick scrub with a loofah-backed sponge (which won't scratch the surface) to get it clean and shiny again. I also use this to scrub the metal nicks on sink enamel, with some success.
This pack of 6 is a good deal, I've never seen a singular bottle of any brand at the individual price it works out to.
