Very tasty with peanut butter. Was raised in England so have known this spread a long time. Hard to find in the states though. Great to be able to purchase on Amazon.com.

LOTS OF VITAMIN B AND I LIKE THE TASTEJun 22, 2011
By Elaine S. Platzer I'm on Dr. Peter D'Adamo's Genotype Diet. Marmite yeast extract is a Superfood for my genotype. I like to mix it with crushed garlic (another Superfood for my genotype) and eat it on crackers. Sometimes I even eat it without crackers.

matter of tasteJan 01, 2011
By cklb yummy with peanut-butter, but even better if you add some honey. definitely a matter of taste, if you didn't grow up with any kind of yeast extract, don't even try it :)

Perfectly packed little marmitesFeb 16, 2012
By J. Richardson I used to get my Marmite fix by bringing a couple of megajars from the UK on my occasional trips. That's OK, but even at my astounding rate of consumption, the last spoonful of a 500 gram jar looks a lot more ragged than the first. Having run my supply down to the a few of the aforementioned ragged spoonfuls, I decided to try ordering from Amazon. 6 cute little jars of Marmite arrived the other week, perfectly packed and in great condition. Not only does my marmite stay fresher, but this way I can save my luggage for more Crunchy bars!

Love it or hate itJan 03, 2012
By Dermot Haughey The slogan is there for a reason. As an American, I had never sampled Marmite (or Vegemite, for that matter) until about a month ago. On vacation in Ireland, I was determined to try the famous divider of palates: once and for all. I was certainly divided by it, but into its supporters! Umami taste mixed with a heavy dose of salt, texture like a smooth syrup--slightly thicker. Slight bitter taste that offsets the rest. Many people have tried to describe it, but one must try it for themselves to truly understand it.
After returning to the states, I've been unable to find it in any local grocery store, international or otherwise. Amazon has a fair price on it, and the legendary customer service more than makes up for my inability to find a local source.
