 Foaming Hand Wash RefillsJun 01, 2009

I've been a fan of Method foaming hand wash - not the gel kind. And I've been frustrated at never being able to find the refills in stock. And buying new dispensers (albeit only $3.29/ea) bothers me because it is so wasteful. So here's what I do now. Buy the widely available Method Gel Hand Wash refill of your favorite aroma. In the empty Method foam dispenser, put in 1 part Gel refill and 3.5 parts water. Mix slowly by turning upside down for 60 seconds (fast agitation will make lots of bubbles in the fluid). Let it stand, it will go completely into a mixed solution in about 45 minutes. This works perfectly well producing lush foam with good cleaning properties. The aroma is not as intense since you diluted it with water. But the refills are now drastically cheaper since you are diluting with water.

I've been a long time user of Method products. Everytime I use one of their products I find a new favorite scent. This Sea Minerals Foaming Hand Wash makes washing your hands a pleasure! That's why I bought a case of 6 of them, so I don't run out!

I love the Method foam hand washes. I have put them in all our bathrooms and the kitchen. The foam hand washes are really easy for the kids to use, with none of the drippy mess of other liquid soaps. The Method scents are great - very mild. I also like that the packaging is recyclable. These are my absolute favorite hand soaps!

I've always used the clear soap (fresh rain?) but this was a good deal and my old dispensers were wearing out. Sea Minerals certainly had a stronger small than I expected. It didn't remind me of the sea at all. I didn't like it at first, but I've gotten used to it. As a bonus, I can more easily tell if my sons washed their hands.
The other reviewers notes about how to refill these is important. I figured it out by trial and error. Once these are don't I probably won't get this scent again.

I'm one of those women you see in the store sniffing every bottle of soap on the shelf before deciding which one to buy, and I go back to this one time and again. I'll take a break from it once and a while for variation, but I like the color, the bottle, the fragrance, and the silky feel of the foam, so I'll keep buying it!
