I make my own blend of beans and I like a strong, rich taste so finding the right roaster is important to me. I try a lot of roasts, but seem to always come back to Millstone for their fine French Roast. It is excellent on its own, but melds nicely with Sumatran, Columbian or whatever else I am trying at the moment. It is a little pricey, but worth it. The quality is consistently good.

Our grocery stores no longer carry Millstone French Roast coffee beans. I have tried other brands, but to my taste buds, none is as smoothe and satisfying as Millstone. How delighted my husband and I were to find the wonderful service that Amazon provides:we signed up for monthly delivery of the very coffee beans we had been searching for! And the cost is quite competetive.

We have been buying this coffee for some time now. We just loved it, especially the whole bean in any flavor/type. Sadly, we bought 6 - 2 packs only to learn that it had changed. The beans were extremely dry, tasteless and very little coffee smell which I am guessing was due to the dryness of the bean. This is not an isolated case because we tried another type and it was the same dry, dull bean. I wrote the company a week ago but they never answered my query.

Millstone just knows how to roast the beans to perfection. This still is a strong coffee but other brands have a very strong bitterness (tannic). This one however has done it so it is smooth and doesn't leave a tannic aftertaste.
