A must have for gluten free baking.Apr 16, 2009
By C. Wollin I use Mochiko in my gluten free flour mix. It adds a bit of body and chewiness to cookies and brownies. It seems to help with the moisture too, as I find many gluten free baked goods are dry and gritty without a little sweet rice flour added.

cost consciousNov 24, 2010
By Louise T. Chao FYI: Marukai Market Place in southern California, currently sells Mochiko Sweet Rice Flour for $1.48/1 pound box. I use it for making a simple mochi which my family enjoys very much.

Purchased the product for gluten free gravy but it was SO good I'll use it even if I don't need a gluten free diet! Very smooth and didn't clump the way wheat flour does! Am giving it to friends who need to be gluten free as I really needed only one pound!Mochiko Sweet Rice Flour, 1-Pound Packages (Pack of 12)

Love this item, but hate the shipping costFeb 23, 2011
By T. Wagner Great product...I'm happy when Wegman's occasionally carries this Sweet Rice Flour in their ethnic food section. I stock up because I use this for gluten-free baking. I wish this product could be offered through Amazon with their free shipping option.

No clumpSep 15, 2010
By Vernon E. Parker III So I inherited this product from my boss who had to move back to San Diego when we raided his fridge. I am using it mainly to bake something for this chick I am into and it is a wonder. It does not clump like wheat based flour and it does not take away from the flavor. My pastries, blueberry muffins, baked pretty well and I am about to buy the 12 pack so I can continue to bake my way into her wheat flour allergic pants.
