1 Bottle Sangiovese
1C Monin Red Sangria Syrup
5oz Brandy
2.5C Orange Juice
3 thinly sliced oranges
1C Sugar
Muddle oranges and sugar until pulpy
Add the rest and stir.
Chill and let rest for 4-12 hours.
Strain and Serve

The Monin Flavored Syrup, when added to your favorite wine in a ratio of one ounce syrup, four ounces of water and anywhere from six to eight ounces of wine, produces a very flavorable tasting wine.

I mix about double the Brandy into the recipe. Very good easy sangria by the class or pitcher. Supposedly Carrabas uses this for their Sangria.

My wife and I tried for years to make the "perfect" red Sangria, but we just couldn't get it right .... there was always something missing. Finally, I asked the bartenders at Carrabba's and Ruby Tuesday's for their secret, and they both told me the secret was Monin flavored syrup. After searching for this stuff at every party store in SE Michigan, I tried Amazon.com. Sure enough, they had it and even offered free shipping. We ordered 4 (1 liter) bottles and have been enjoying perfect Sangria ever since. Thank you Monin and thank you Amazon.com.
