 Quite awful--bright red, super sourAug 01, 2008

I normally really like Monin syrups--I love their pomegranate, their regular (i.e., non-"wild") raspberry, and others. When the regular raspberry became unavailable on Amazon, I ordered this. . . what a terrible shock! It's much, much redder than the other raspberry--it looks unappealingly like a kid-beverage when added to a clear drink, for example--and it's super sour. I would typically add a half-shot or so of Monin syrup and an eighth of a lemon to a glass of club soda, but this syrup is far too sour for me to use it in the same way. I find myself needing to add it to an already sweetened drink (like lemonade or Sprite), at which point it is acceptable in flavor but still sub-par in color.
