Great waffles! Tasty and gluten free, but not a good pancakeMar 31, 2008

This is a great waffle mix. Easy to make instructions. What i like the best is that it isn't filled with additional sugar since the maple syrup i use on top makes these sweet enough. Add your own fruit into the mix and be sure to make extra as these freeze well and reheat nicely in the toaster. Do note however, that i and a friend agree that something about this mix doesn't fry right as a pancake. It just doesn't work. Still five stars as a waffle;)

This waffle and pancake mix is my absolute favorite. The waffles come out so delicious, when I eat these, I don't eat miss the gluten at all. My husband, who is extremely picky about eating any of the gluten free foods that I eat, absolutely loves these waffles. He likes his with chocolate chips. I love all of the Namaste products I have tried so far and Amazon.com has a great deal on their products as well!

If you are avoiding gluten-free products that are a "facsimile" of the real thing, then avoid these.
When making pancakes from this, I found that they were very hard on the outside, more like griddle cakes. They are not soft at all, like normal pancakes. I had flashbacks to my original diagnosis and thinking that I would never eat "normal" food again.
There are better pancake mixes out there, and they don't cost as much.

Because of family allergies, we are constantly looking for good products. This is one of them. It makes the most wonderful crepes. I prefer them over the ones made with regular wheat flour. My grandchildren devour them. Thank you, Namaste Foods!

I'm sensitive to products containing gluten and have had to give up many treats. That's why I was very happy to find this delicious gluten-free mix. For fun, I add chocolate chips to my pancakes. It's like having dessert with my breakfast.
