 Xylichew is made in Finland, not China.Mar 13, 2008

Xylichew licorice gum tastes good (if you like licorice). It is made in Finland. This is a plus to me. Have bought a LOT of Spry gum in the past (1000'S of pieces), but with all the health scares from Chinese made products, I decided that it wasn't worth taking a chance with my health and the health of my family. Spry gum is made in China (which is why it's cheaper), along with most every other cheaper Xylitol gum on the market today. On the other hand, XYLICHEW IS MADE IN FINLAND. That's why it costs more. Isn't your health worth it? Why take chances? With all the scares of people that died from tainted Chinese toothpaste, improper Chinese pharmaceuticals that led to sickness and death, the tainted pet food scare that killed many animals, lead paint on Chinese toys... on and on... to me Xylichew is worth the extra money.

Stomach Help At LastMar 31, 2007

I discovered Xylichew Gum, in Licorice flavor about a year ago. I have major problems with my stomach, and chewing this gum after I eat really helps with digestion. My stomach is so sensitive, I can't handle anything "mint" flavored, which is the main flavor of almost every gum on the planet. Luckily I like the flavor of licorice, so that was a bonus. Licorice has been known to be beneficial to the stomach, so a sugarless gum, with that added ingredient is just what "the doctor ordered" for my tender tummy. I would recommend this gum to anyone who:
1. Wants a gum with Xylitol sweetner
2. Likes the flavor of Licorice
3. Has digestion problems.

I'm a big fan of the taste of black licorice, and this gum delivers with a sweet, long-lasting flavor. It's true you need 2 or 3 of these 'Chiclet' shaped pieces for a decent chew. The xylitol provides a great, sugar free alternative that will not promote tooth decay. I'll be ordering more.

I have tried a couple of Xylichew gums, and the licorice is probably their best flavor. It lasts twice as long a their fruit flavor, which isn't bad, but this lasts better. It isn't long lasting compared to regular gums, but for Xylitol gums without the harsh chemicals, it is the best of the bunch. I certainly do not recommend Xyliburst, which is the shortest lasting gum I have ever used.

Ok, so it's gum, but for anyone wanting a healthy version of Black Jack, here it is! 100% xylitol sweetened! No junk sweeteners! I LOVE licorice and these gums are sweet and have the flavor of black licorice without the sugar. I munch these up like candy they're so yummy!
If you want the taste of fake red licorice, don't buy these. If want the taste of twizzler licorice, don't buy these. If you like real licorice, black licorice, this stuff is sweet tasting and GOOD, plus makes your teeth feel clean & good, too.
It really does taste just like black jack, imo. I don't know why the previous reviewer didn't think it tasted right, it tastes like black licorice gum :P .. not anise or herbal licorice, just yum black licorice.. lol. You get the idea ;). Highly Recommended. The 12piece blister packs are great for taste-testing, often sold at New Season's Markets for only $2.00 each.
