 Best Strawberry Cereal on the MarketFeb 19, 2010

My wife and I love strawberry cereals. We have tried every single strawberry cereal with flakes on the market. Our favorite used to be 'Kellogg's Special K Red Berries' cereal but after trying 'FlaxPlus Red Berry Crunch' by Nature's Path, we our hooked! There are a number of things that make this cereal great. First is the abundance of berries: strawberries and raspberries. Now I am not a huge fan of raspberries but the combination with the strawberries really enhances the flavor. I really enjoy the fact that it's not just flakes but also oats and flax seeds. It really gives a more wholesome and full taste.
So not only does this cereal taste great, but it's also certified organic. We also tried another organic cereal by Kashi called Strawberry Fields. We still prefer FlaxPlus Red Berry Crunch because the Kashi cereal's flakes are just too crunchy and don't absorb milk really well. It makes the whole cereal much too crunchy, plus it doesn't taste as "full" as Nature's Path because it just has flakes and not the added bonus of oats and multiple grains including: whole wheat meal, rolled oats, wheat bran, brown rice flour, oat bran, etc.

I LOVE this cereal. I am glad to find it on Amazon with more of the Nature's Path Cereals. I probably will purchase this particular one at Costco (NO Others Available there) because it was $5.99 for a box with 2, 13.2 oz bags in it. Excellent Product. I will have to buy the others here at a slightly higher price because No Others were available from Costco. Worth the cost at either place.
UPDATE: As of about 12/1/09 Costco no longer has this brand, I bought some of the last double packs of the Red Berry Crunch for $3.97, 26 ozs. IT WAS GOOD! No More Left. Amazon probably has the next best price. I did not see this one at Trader Joe's.

A bowl of healthy, crunchy goodness. It gives my jaw a workout. Although crunchier with BOTH red raspberries and strawberries than Special K, I like the taste of Special K Red Berries better.

I was given a sample of the Nature's Path Organic Flax Plus Red Berry Crunch Cereal at the nearby Costco. Not unusual, after promoting the product, they then stopped carrying it.
In the meantime, my wife who is 64, who has never eaten cerial or drank milk, became absolutely hooked on this cereal. She loves it! I looked at all the other big box stores and grocery stores and could find the Nature's Path brand, but not this "Red Berry Crunch" product.
Good ole Amazon came through as I searched for a source. We were very pleased with the fast delivery, and found the cerial to be perfect. We also switched to an organic 1% milk (that will last forever) and is perfect with this high quality cerial.
I would recomend it to everyone.

I was able to buy this product locally at a big box store, but they discontinued it. When I found it on Amazon, I was absolutely thrilled!!! THEN it got even better that I can receive a monthly shipment and even adjust that as needed! This cereal is just so crunchy, tasty, full of dried berries and scrumptious. Now it doesn't matter if I can get it locally. I can get it even easier: my favorite cereal at my front door! Thank you!!!!!!
