5Great for fruit cobblerApr 25, 2007
By Kathy, the step grandmother
This fruit is great for a quickie cobbler. Just pour a can in a 9"by9" pan. Add cobbler topping (mix together, cup sugar, cup flour, 2tps baking powder, and 1 egg.) Sprinkle over fruit. Pour melted butter over top, sprinkle a little cinnamon over top and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Try it, I've gotten lots of compliments on this and it's simple and fast. If you really want to have more fruit, try adding a can of rasberries to the mix!

5like just picked blackberriesSep 20, 2010

I find it amazing that Oregon Fruit can process fruit and can it and it is just like it was just picked. These are wonderful berries.

5Best Blackberries AroundMay 30, 2010
By Rob Andresen "Rob"
A friend sent me several cans and the recipe for blackberry pie (on the backside of the label) and they made the BEST pie since my Grandmothers. The fruit is solid packed in a light syrup - no messy pie filling. The recipe was simple to follow and now everyone wants the recipe. Now that Amazon has the whole line of Oregon Fruit I see many more great pies for all ocassions.

5Oregon Fruit BlackberriesDec 24, 2008
By High Desert House Wife
Canned blackberries. They are what they're supposed to be. I'm not sure what posessed me to buy a whole case but I guess thats the only way thay were being sold. The Oregon brand canned fruits that I've tried are super high quality and worth the price.

4Our Favorite Pie!Oct 14, 2008
By HiddenFinds
The pie recipe on the label is excellent. I've made this pie many times, with rave appreciation! Takes but a few moments, to heat the syrup: substitute white sugar ~ with honey or raw sugar, or stevia. For a gluten-free alternative to pie filling, use potato starch inlieu of corn starch. Fold in the canned berries (1/2 can and 1/2 fresh works too), cool momentarily, gently fold into a bottom pie shell. Top with an all natural granola mix, sprinkle w/cinnamon {+brown sugar}. Roll edges of pastry inward to make a large tart. Bake 30 minutes at 400. Travels well.
