3good product, no way to know expiration dateNov 04, 2007

I like this milk. It's great to take along for after a run (didn't you know chocolate milk is THE post-workout recovery drink?!). My kids like this milk too and since it doesn't need refrigeration, it's handy to bring along. My only issue is that there is no way to know what the "Best Before" date will be when I order it. My latest shipment is Best Before Dec. 1. (about 6 weeks after receiving this delivery)That's a little tight for me to drink 24 little cartons of milk.

By the way, you really do need to shake the carton vigorously or else there can be some sediment. I like that you can use the straw or open the foil top and drink it from the carton without the straw. I also like that I can recycle the cartons.

5Best chocolate milk!Jun 04, 2009
By Kyra_Athena "Kyra_Athena"
I love all of Organic Valley's products. While the taste isn't exactly the same as Organic Valley's chocolate milk from the dairy section, it's still the best of the packaged chocolate milk. I sampled them all.

I also prefer to purchase from Organic Valley as it is a cooperative of dairy farmers and not an agri-business such as Horizon, which is part of Dean Foods. (There has also been some debate as to whether or not Horizon's products are really organic.)

4Cheaper at Whole Foods!!Mar 12, 2010

Although Amazon is amazing with their pricing, in this case, it isn't. I found this item in Whole Foods in Montclair, NJ for 67 cents apiece, and I only had to buy a pack of 12 to get that price. Go figure!!

3Good but irritatingMar 14, 2009

The product is delicious. However, the straw is so short that when I try to drink with it, it falls down into the container. No problem if it happens at home, but if I take these in the car for the kids, it just doesn't work. Just wish the company would include a straw that is LONGER than the box is tall.

5YUMMY! This milk is GREAT!Apr 03, 2011

When I received our shipment of this Organic Valley Chocolate Milk, I immediately tried one and it really IS fantastic milk! My son loves it too. It has a rich chocolate flavor.

This shipment has an expiration date of October, 2011, which is much better than the white 1% we got that expires in July. I really doubt we'll have any white milk left by July, but I wanted to shelve it for a little longer in case our milk here is contaminated by radiation from Japan (more than likely WILL BE). I fear what that disaster is going to do to the Organic Dairy farmers/Organic farmers. :( At least we'll have our chocolate milk to drink. I'll just use powdered milk for cooking.

This chocolate milk is wonderful! I'm glad I bought it!

I don't know if this is even possible, but it would be nice to have a "use by" date "range" maybe for these milk products. Lets say Amazon orders 500 cases at a time. They would then have a "use by" date range on each case they purchased and probably on the order batch. That could perhaps be posted with the product information? I'm just throwing this out there because I know I'm not the only person wanting to know the "use by" date before I buy. :) Even if I knew the milk should be "used by" October-December of a particular year, that would help immensely.
