Strawberry flavor is really goodFeb 18, 2009
By Person While I understand it's probably awful if it's been frozen, it'd be a shame for this product to stand at one star. I deducted a star for price & packaging b/c of course it's always nicer if cheaper & though one of the pros of this product is the aseptic packaging (for its long shelf life which makes it great for stocking up or putting in a lunch w/no worries of spoilage) my area doesn't have any aseptic carton recycling so I hate having to put cartons in the trash.
The milk itself is a standout. Best strawberry flavor I've ever had; my children love it. It's artificial but tastes the most strawberry-like of any I've tried, not too too sweet like some. It's a nice treat for my children's lunchboxes, & since their school has raised the price of milk they sell there if I buy from Amazon w/the free shipping option this is not much more expensive.

Great Flavor & NO CARRAGEENAN!May 25, 2009

My kids love this stuff!! I have not tasted it, but they will drink a couple boxes a day if I let them. I normally do not give them cow's milk, but out of all the single serve milk drinks on the market (cow's milk or soy), this is the only brand and flavor that does not contain carrageenan. Carrageenan is a thickener commonly used in milks, yogurts, and ice creams. It has been documented as causing cancer in lab rats and causes gastrointestinal upset in some folks. We just avoid it as much as we can, why take the chance with your kids right? But please take a moment, do your own research and come to your own conclusions.
Organic Valley's same milk but in chocolate flavor does contain carrageenan, so I hope they don't ever change the recipe on the strawberry milk.
I do get this case for twenty dollars at my local large-chain organic grocer, so maybe Amazon can put this on Subscribe and Save, so I can get it delivered and save some cash.

My daughter loves this milkFeb 27, 2009

This is my daughter's FAVORITE milk. In fact, if I put juice in her lunchbox alongside this milk, she will drink the milk first, hands down!
I like that it is all organic, and the milk is white! No artificial coloring! I feel more comfortable buying Organic valley compared to Horizon b/c I have heard Horizon will use dried milk products in their milk, from questionable sources. I don't know the details but I just know that some people believe that Horizon might not be 100% organic like they claim.
I don't understand the reviewer who gave this one star for the frozen milk. If this was a problem, I would have contacted Amazon and they would have taken care of this. Is this really organic valley's fault you got frozen milk? It's kind of harsh to give this product one star when it wasn't even their fault.
I agree it is a bit pricey, however through Amazon, this is much cheaper than anywhere else I have seen it. So, it's a great price, great milk, 5 stars!

The only milk my child drinks.Sep 14, 2009

This is the only type of milk my child will drink. I began buying it at Whole Foods and other local grocery stores, paying about $1.50 per carton. Now I order it on Amazon, with free delivery, and pay about $1 per carton. Still pricey but that's the cost of parenthood. The milk is organic, too sweet for my tast (about 28 grams of sugar per carton) but it works for the kids. Easy to pack for travel, and doesn't have to be refrigerated until it's open.

Great, healthy, portable, inexpensive snack for kids!Sep 12, 2009
By Provawnce Our 5 year old daughter loves these strawberry milk cartons. The ability to keep them in or out of the refrigerator makes them uniquely healthy and portable. They are a staple in her lunchbox and it is now common for her to grab one whenever we head out the door. Best of all, Amazon's price is the lowest (minus the occasional sale elsewhere) that we have found thus far and you don't even have to leave your home to get a case of them.
