These Ortega chiles are mild but add a nice warmth to soups, stews, and Mexican dishes. This size is the larger one found in some stores--they used to come only in 2 ounce cans. ANYWAY, this deal on Amazon is excellent! If you have Amazon Prime and also sign up for an autoship delivery every month or every few months it is a TERRIFIC money saver! If you use these like we do at our house, buy them here and save bigtime! Go green (chiles)!!

These peppers have a great taste and are great for cooking. They are not very hot which is probably good for most people but I'll try to order some hotter ones next time.

I love these peppers and wished I knew what kind of peppers they are. I like mild and these are mild and give that distinctive taste to my burritos or enchaladas.

We must have several cans of these on hand at all times. We add them to scrambled eggs- presto! Huevos rancheros are withing reach for dinner. Add them to ground meat, with salsa and some wheat germ for a Mexican meatloaf you can bake in taco shells for a different dinner. I must stop now because I'm making myself hungry.
