I'm happy with this popcorn. It has a burn to it, but it's not too bad. The spices hit the back of the mouth and it seems to be a delayed reaction giving you time to really enjoy the flavor first. When it pops it has a smell almost like cardamom or cinnamon, possibly a slight nutmeg smell - but the taste is smoky and buttery with maybe a hint of sweet, but not much, before the burn begins.
One thing to note on the nutritional information they offer on Amazon -- One bag has about 3 servings.. so it's 160 calories and 8 grams of fat per serving - or 480 calories and 24 grams of fat per bag.
It seemed to pop well and the corn itself seems to be of good quality and flavor. The popping instructions say that it takes between 1 and 4 minutes to pop (it took 2 and ½ minutes in my microwave). It also suggests that you heat a cup of water for one minute before cooking the popcorn and suggests putting the bag on top of something else to raise it off the bottom of the oven prior to popping if you are finding you are having popping issues. I didn't take either suggestion and the bag popped up well with a minimal number of kernels left over. You will want to make sure to shake the bag really well before opening to help distribute the spices.
Over all it's good popcorn with a nice after-burn. I didn't give it 5 stars because it's not as good as other popcorn I've had (Orville Redenbacher's Salt and Lime and Salt and Pepper) but I would order it again.
