I grew up on grits, they were easy to find in Colorado but after moving to California they got harder to find. What a wonderful breakfast with added cheese,crumbled bacon or sausage, very hardy meal. also good when you are sick and just need something warm and calm in your tummy. thank goodness I checked Amazon, please continue to carry this product, its the best.

Great to keep in your desk at work, for those mornings when you can't make breakfast at home. Will "cook" with water that is "hot" from a cooler...if you cover and let sit for a few minutes. Toss in some raisins and you are good to go! (If you are extra hungry make 2 !)
Because this is plain you can dress it up anyway you like. Just butter, a slice of American Cheese, left over bacon, or sprinkle on some cinnamon sugar.

Sunday morning - bacon, eggs, grits.... this is one of my favorite weekend breakfasts. So much so, that I frequently move it into weekdays too. These grits cook up quickly so I don't have to wait a half hour to have breakfast. By the time the bacon and eggs are cooked (about 5-7 minutes to get both done) I can also do a small bowl of grits. These grits cook up equally well when done on the stove or in the microwave. Make sure to stir occasionally to avoid lumps; add the water, a little butter and some salt and pepper and it comes out creamy and delicious. A really good texture and light flavor that works really well as a culinary foil to bacon and eggs.

I love these instant grits. I buy them at the grocery store. I never ordered them online before and don't understand, do they really cost $48.99 for one box? Or are you getting more than one box?
